Fennec

Fennec is a web browser based on Mozilla Firefox, but with a number of improvements. These include removing trackers and including add-ons by default, including an ad blocker.

Improved privacy and security compared to Firefox

Fennec is designed with privacy in mind. The Fennec tracker blocker prevents web pages from tracking you when you surf the Internet. With the ad blocker, web pages will load faster when you visit them, plus you won't see personalized ads based on your searches. Fennec also offers private browsing that prevents any trace of your searches or visits to web pages from being saved, which is ideal if you want to keep your online activity completely anonymous.

Similar interface to Firefox

Being based on Firefox, the interface is highly reminiscent of Mozilla's popular browser. When you install the app, you can choose whether you want the navigation bar to be at the top or at the bottom. After that, you can start using it straight away, using the search bar or the default search engine (DuckDuckGo) to navigate to websites. The options menu is found on the right, and here you can access the settings to customize any browser functionality to your liking.

Fennec has light and dark themes, and also gives you the option to change the default search engine. If you use Firefox on another device, Fennec allows you to synchronize your bookmarks, passwords and browsing preferences.
